Kernelement dieser Venenklappenprothese ist eine Gefäßprothese (Stent) als Grundgerüst, in die eine Klappe integriert wird. Basismaterial des Stent ist die Formgedächtnislegierung Nickel - Titan. Als Material für die Klappen wird Polyurethan verwendet. Die Arbeit enthält die Schritte von der Konzeption über die Konstruktion bis hin zum kompletten Herstellungsprozess der künstlichen Venenklappe.
